HORNS IN THE HOUSE - Get on the dance floor, here come the Horns! Horns in the House is an 8 piece band with a strong but musically sensitive ensemble sound, energized by punctuating horns and multi vocal blends. A female vocal lead is complemented by four distinct male vocal leads and background harmonies. The horn section includes Trumpet/Flugelhorn, Trombone/Flute and Saxophones. Rounding off the rhythm section is Guitar/Acoustic & Electric, Piano/Organ, Bass and Drums/Percussion. This combination of musicians provides enough variety to cover all styles of music including Swing, R&8, Classic Rock, Disco, Blues and contemporary Top 40, and with over 200 titles on the song list, the band is able to please all musical appetites and encourage requests. THE STICKY SKILLET SWING ORCHESTRA - From classic swing to calypso to soul! The Sticky Skillet Swing Orchestra can vary in size from three to eight pieces. Performing the classic swing of composers such as Duke Ellington, Louis Jordan and Count Basie, the Sticky Skillets are a great choice for your listening and dancing pleasure. If you want more than swing, don’t worry, SSSO can cover a wide range of styles from klezmer and calypso, to rock and soul covers. The Sticky Skillets feature some of Boston's finest jazz musicians. Members have performed with such greats as Tony Bennett, Joel Grey and Aretha Franklin as well as local groups such as The Artie Shaw Band, The White Heat Swing Orchestra, Lou Colombo/ Dick Johnson Sextet and Either/Orchestra. |
